Maintenance Planner

In January 2022, Indaver UK begins operations at our NESS project in Aberdeen, a new state-of the-art facility producing energy for export to the national grid as well as providing heating for the local district and jobs for the wider community. 

As Maintenance Planner you will be an essential part of the launch as well as performing a pivotal role in the ongoing safe and efficient delivery of the facility operations, including planning and coordinating major and minor shut-downs, associated process and sub-contractors.

Role and Responsibilities

The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for the planning and scheduling of all front-line maintenance activities across the process, building and site systems that comprise the NESS Energy from Waste facility.

  • Supporting the Maintenance Technicians by delivering an accurate maintenance plan for the facility
  • Coordination and delivery of the maintenance plan to support all preventive, predictive and reactive maintenance activities
  • Ensure all planned maintenance activities specify the competence levels of personnel required to execute the activity
  • Liaison with external agencies to ensure that all activities, regardless of execution company, are coordinated effectively
  • Creation and provision of maintenance and compliance plans
  • Coordination of all planned and unplanned shutdown activities
  • Delivery of services within an Integrated Management System (IMS) environment


Required Skills

  • Experience gained in a maintenance, construction and/or engineering planning environment.
  • Proven maintenance planning experience within a complex operational environment (Oil & Gas, Power Generation, and Industrial Process).
  • SAP and Project planning software expertise
  • Detailed planning and scheduling knowledge and experience within a complex integrated plant and equipment environment commonly found within continuous process industries such as power generation, cement industry and petrochemicals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Primavera or similar industry standard planning tools and methodologies
