Belgian Waste-to-Energy

Belgian Waste-to-Energy represents all of the Belgian installations that recover energy from  household waste and similar waste. With a capacity of over 2.5 million tonnes, these installations produce more than 1,1 million MWh of electricity every year, not only for their own internal purposes , but primarily to supply the distribution grid, which is equivalent to the consumption of 250,000 households. They also produce heat for their own usage and various industrial applications (almost 500,000  MWh).
