Ethical code
Indaver markets itself as a company that acts ethically in all its daily activities.
Indaver expects its employees to behave in accordance with high moral and ethical standards towards all their professional contacts, such as customers, people living in the neighbourhood of its plants, suppliers, colleagues, etc. These standards have been laid down in a corporate charter: the Indaver Ethical Code. This code states, for example, that customer information should be kept secret; that no customer should get preferential treatment and that no one should talk disrespectfully of the company’s competitors. Another important aspect of the code is the core statement that all employees should have mutual respect for the integrity and privacy of their colleagues.
Codes of good practice
Indaver also has an operational code of good practice to observe with regard to its activities. The code, summarised in ’10 codes of good practice’, sets forth the method and techniques Indaver uses to treat all the waste materials in a sustainable manner. Indaver acts, at all times, in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. Indaver will also observe and live by the principles of ‘good corporate governance’ and ‘duty of care’. Indaver will take all the necessary measures to minimise the impact of its operations on the environment and on people living in the vicinity of its treatment plants.
This code is also applicable to all the group companies in which Indaver has a majority shareholding.
