Waste management in Belgium and Europe

Indaver is a private waste management company, established in 1985 by a number of leading international companies (BASF, Monsanto, …). With firm roots in Belgium, where it plays a leading role in the implementation of the Flemish waste policy, the Indaver Group is an international independent waste management company with branches and operational sites all over Europe. The annual treatment capacity of Indaver amounts to about 1,900,000 tonnes.

The Indaver Group is an integrated provider of high-quality waste management services, offering its customers sustainable, long-term and tailor-made solutions for their waste problems. To accomplish this, Indaver not only relies on its own advanced services, but also on third-party solutions and installations (through partnerships, strategic alliances and contracts) which comply with Indaver’s standards.

Indaver is committed to offering a safe and ecologically sound and economical solution to industrial waste problems. The company sets the same priorities for all of its activities: first prevention and reduction, then re-use, recuperation or recycling, followed by energy recovery incineration and finally, if there are no alternatives, landfilling in an ecologically sound way.
